HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDY GIRL

How best shall we remember,
You who touched our lives,
In ways too many to recount?

To me you will remain forever,
Closer than a friend, my confidante.
When in need to you I came,
For wisdom and for truth.

A myriad memories,
Entwine and meld our hearts as one,
For we walked both years and miles together.

Sometimes I carried you,
For oft I found,
My shoulders were much stronger.

The borders of my heart being wider,
Wrapped itself around your own,
Sweet sister mine.

The tears still flow,
I gasp in pain when I recall my loss.
Then dawns the thought of you in heaven,
And I smile.

  1. There are times when I still cannot believe sis is not with us and feel so sad but then again I remember where she is and feel happy all over again. Thank you for reminding me what a treasure we had - fortunate we were to have a sis like Sandy girl!

  4. Dearest Myra
The tears still flow thinking of how quickly Sandy passed away from us but rejoice at the thought she is now enjoying bliss in heaven. Your poems touch my heart deeply and thank God for this gift to you, you bring out the sentiments you sisters shared so warmly.
